Our prayer is that you will want to seek out Jesus and make Him Lord of your life. This includes having a relationship with Christ through worship and service with other like-minded people.
Many today are wary of Christianity because they see so much division. “If no one can agree,” they think, “then maybe no one is right.”
Jesus prayed that there would be no division among His disciples (John 17:20-21). But unity meant nothing without something to unify around, namely, the will of God. There was just too much at stake to start picking and choosing the parts that we liked. Jesus said,
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” – Matthew 7:21
Did Jesus set the bar too high? Is it too hard to do what God wants us to do? It shouldn’t be. John the Apostle lived long enough to see a lot of messed up religion. But he remained convinced that everyone could know the truth (1 John 5:13) and do God’s will (1 John 1:6-7).
As Christians, we need to fellowship with one another and with God in truth. We need to come together with the same mind and the same purpose (1 Corinthians 1:10). In short, we need to be the church that Jesus died for.
There are groups of Christians all around New Zealand who are humbly seeking after Jesus. Some of them are meeting in purpose-built facilities; some are meeting in school halls and living rooms.
If you would like to find a group like this in your own community, please write to us below. We will try to put you in touch with the nearest church. You are also welcome to use the form below for any other questions you may have.
